The music and art festival we helped organize Saturday was a huge success. And utterly exhausting! David was in town at 7 a.m. to set up one of the stages and I left home at 10:30 a.m. to join him (I needed to walk Shiloh as late as possible). We got home about 1:30 a.m. I walked over 20,000 steps according to my Fitbit and stood the rest of the time. My poor feet may never recover!
This week I’ll be doing my monthly grocery shopping trip with Lisa of Retro Housewife Goes Green on Tuesday. We have local music events Monday and Thursday. I have choir rehearsal Wednesday. But then! David is whisking me away for the weekend for a belated birthday celebration. Somewhere in there I hope to clean my poor, neglected house.
We are doing the sound for an open mic at a local coffee shop. They have great food so we’ll eat there.
My daughter and I will be doing our August monthly grocery shopping trip this day. The guys will be on their own.
I have choir rehearsal at 7 p.m. so an easy cleanup meal is on tap.
- Cabbage, Potato and Sausage in the Instant Pot
- homemade biscuits
- chicken with homemade sweet and sour sauce
- brown rice
David and I are heading to the city for a couple of days to (finally!) celebrate my birthday. Can’t wait!
