We have several things going on this week so I won’t be cooking every night. Still, I find it helpful to create a weekly menu plan.
Dee’s Menu Plan
David and I have a 4 p.m meeting in town. We meet at a local wine and dessert bar which happens to be next door to a nice restaurant. I *could* plan a meal but previous experience has taught me that we’ll end up deciding to eat at the restaurant.
My daughter and I are doing our monthly grocery shopping in the city. We most likely won’t be home in time to cook dinner so our men are on their own.
We have out-of-town dinner plans with friends.
I have an early evening meeting but have no idea how late it will last. I think a crockpot meal is in order. That way David can go ahead and eat if I’m late.
- roast with onions, carrots and potatoes in the crockpot
- French bread
At this point it looks like we will be home this evening. Sounds like a good night to fix a special dinner.
- tossed green salad with vinaigrette
- Coq au Vin
- mashed potatoes
- French baguette
One of our bands is playing at the local Italian restaurant so we will probably eat there.
We should have ample leftovers for this day.
What’s on your menu this week? Do you have a favorite “fancy” dish you like to make?
