I was pretty nervous about yesterday’s post. I really felt like I needed to write it but I wasn’t sure how it would be accepted. I needn’t have worried, though. The comments I received here, on Facebook and in person were all kind and understanding. I have some pretty amazing readers and I thank each of you who shared your thoughts with me. xoxoxo
Yesterday we attended a benefit concert for the Oklahoma tornado victims. “Moore Love” was the brainchild of a couple of people we know and with the hard work of many, they pulled off an amazing event which raised over $5000.
Several of our musician friends were among the 20 or so bands which performed non-stop from 8 a.m. to nearly midnight. Somehow this is the only one I managed to record. Our Mother’s Martyr also performed at our Happyland Music Fest. Amazing musicians and really good people.
I heard about this blogathon from my friend, Amanda, who blogs at Living, Learning, and Loving Life. I fully intended to sign up but our Internet was down due to storms and I missed the deadline. But while I can’t compete for prizes, I can still participate unofficially and that’s what I’m going to do. I have committed to posting here on Tea With Dee every day for the month of June. I am also going to blog three times a week on each of my other two blogs, The Well-Groomed Hippie and Dee’s Kitchen.
I’ve been meaning to take this whole blogging thing more seriously anyway and this should be a good jump-start for me. I’ve also been seriously thinking about digging out my novel and begin working on it again, too. Feel free to nag me about it.
