You know it’s time for a vacation…
The other day David mentioned that his boss and various employees have been asking him when his next trip to New Orleans is scheduled. I think that’s a hint. Stress is taking its toll on his normally pleasant disposition so I was delighted to receive a call from our timeshare people letting us know that the Quarter House is available in the French Quarter for spring break week (mid march). Ordinarily we wouldn’t choose to travel during spring break but we want to take our son with us on this trip and since he is still in college we need to go during his time off. We will have a two bedroom place that is around 1700 sq. feet so we told Chris he could bring a friend. He asked if the friend had to be a male. Funny boy. He is going to invite Daniel, the friend who moved into our guest house *for the summer* over two years ago. Daniel’s like one of my own kids and has even seen me in my robe with no makeup. Still, it will seem a bit odd sharing our New Orleans experience with the boys. Wonder how they will react when various bar tenders at Tropical Isle, the band members of Debi and the Deacons , and “Big Mac” at the Cat’s Meow on Bourbon Street greet us like old friends? I just hope “Big Mac” doesn’t make any reference to lap dances.
Sounds wonderful! You have something to look forward too. I’m sorry there are such stresses for you and your husband. Vacations are always so nice.
