Asperger’s Syndrome

May 25, 2010 By Deanna Piercy 4 Comments

A 12 year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome asks his mom some questions:

I have a young relative with Asperger’s. In an effort to understand him better, I read the book, “Look Me in the Eye: My Life With Asperger’s” by John Elder Robison. Fascinating book and one I highly recommend, especially if you know someone with Asperger’s.

That video was so awesome! Thank you for sharing it. I have several friends with child who have asperger's and their kids are so special to me. Well, all my friends kids are special to me of course but because of those kids this video was special to me. Thanks again for sharing.

I thought it shared some good insight. And the book I mentioned is truly outstanding.

Thank you for sharing that, Deanna. When he asked why everyone loves his little sister more than him, I cried. J has asked the exact same question.

I didn't mean to make you cry, Amanda. 🙁 Perhaps the mom of the relative with Asperger's (trying to not publicly share too much info here without asking for permission) would be willing to correspond with you. Let me know if you'd like me to ask her.
