Yes, I know this post is rather late today. We were out very, very late last night (I’ll blog about what a fabulous time we had sometime this weekend) and David left early this morning for Tulsa. He told me to go back to sleep and being the good wife that I am, I did as I was told. I slept until almost 9 a.m. and somehow my day was off track from then on. I also had several errands to run this afternoon, arriving home just in time to prepare dinner. David and I are going to watch an episode of “True Blood” in just a bit but I wanted to post at least a little something on “French Friday”.
Since my brain is pretty well fried at this point, I’m just going to share a few quotes from “Entre Nous”:
“The French are persuaded that the enjoyment of beauty and the exercise of the critical intelligence are two of the best things worth living for.” ~ Edith Wharton
“We only do well the things we like doing.” ~ Colette
“People who know how to employ themselves always find leisure moments, while those who do nothing are forever in a hurry.” ~ Marie Jeanne Roland
I promise a better “French Friday” post next week. À bientôt!
