Twenty years ago today a little ray of sunshine entered our lives. We were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl. Lisa was three weeks early after a very, very difficult pregnancy. She was quite tiny…only 5 pounds…but was otherwise perfect. Big brother, Chris, called her his “Sunshine Baby” and that is truly what she has been to all of us.
Lisa was such a good natured and easy baby. She loved to cuddle and let me rock her until she was nearly 10 years old. It was as if God knew I would never be able to have another baby so He gave me one who let me do a lot of intense mommy-ing. I had so much fun dressing her in cute outfits, with matching socks and bows. And she had such beautiful hair which she willingly allowed me to fix in a variety of ways. As someone who spent her childhood playing dolls, this was sheer heaven.
Now our little girl is a grown woman and we are so very proud of who she has become. Happy birthday, Lisa. I love you.
