I’m still in California trying to be as helpful and supportive as I can. I wish I could wave my magic wand and make everything all better but I can’t. I can, however, help prepare meals, clean up and prep at least part of the massive quantities of peaches ripening on my aunt’s peach tree.
I don’t know exactly what lies ahead but I’m grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate my love for these dear people who have always been such an important part of my life.
I have learned from experience that one of the greatest privileges comes to us when we have the opportunity to care for loved ones of an older generation. And while it can be difficult, it can be like giving someone a very special gift. I'm wishing you and yours the best at this time.
