Last week was a blur of returning from New Orleans, having a new central heat and air system installed, a day trip to the city for monthly grocery shopping and just generally getting back into the groove. This week is a *little* less hectic but I do still have several things going on. Tonight (Monday) David and I both have 6 p.m. meetings so we’ll be eating afterwards. Tuesday I have co-op pickup and hopefully Lisa and I can work in a swim at the gym. I have a noon meeting, afternoon hair appointment and evening choir rehearsal on Wednesday and then another meeting Thursday evening. I think I’m free on Friday. Ha!
David and I are trying to take off a few pounds before the holidays (and lots more afterwards). I’m instituting a new plan. I am serving a small salad course first and then finishing up dinner prep so there is a bit of time between the salad and main course. We are watching portion sizes carefully. And then we follow up with a cup of freshly brewed coffee or a cup of tea. I’m also keeping plenty of fresh fruit on hand. Hopefully we will be developing good, healthy lifelong habits utilizing real foods instead of meal replacement shakes which I don’t think are wise for long term use. Besides, life is too short to drink your meals. 😉
