You must understand, I almost never listen to the radio. I mean, if I’m riding with David he often has XM radio on but it’s usually one of the classic rock stations so my only exposure to new music is the stuff Chris puts on my iPod. Or more recently, I’ve been checking out the music on friends’ MySpace pages. The other day I discovered the music of Jason Mraz on Miss J.C.’s profile. I love this guy! I now have a few of his songs on my MySpace page, my favorite of which is “I’m Yours”. His music just makes me smile and maybe even dance a little.
So what are you listening to these days?

I watched America’s Got Talent the other night and found “Nuttin’ But Stringz” they are really cool.

Other than that Gnarls Barkley is a new favorite as well.

Jason Mraz? Seriously? I’m disappointed in you.
Of course, I have an equally unhealthy obsession with Broadway showtunes, so what can you do?

Lisa:
“Nuttin’ But Stringz” really IS cool. Thanks for the link.
Caleb:
Take a look at the music on my MySpace page and you’ll notice a certain “eclectic-ism”. Different music for different moods, ya know? And I’ll keep your Broadway showtunes secret.

I think Jason Mraz is really great. They play him quite often on Sirius Radio. I listen to the Coffee House channel. So up beat! Makes you happy and want to Be Bop!

I like your playlist. I listen to internet radio http://www.deezer.com. You can put in a fav artist and it pulls up similar songs. In that way, I listen to alot of new stuff, but I’m not sure who. I do like Jack Johnson.

I heard a song on the radio and it sounded like Jason Castro, who was a finalsit on American Idol (he came in 4th). I found out later that it was Jason Mraz. I really liked my AI Jason, so I looked up this Mraz guy (lol) and I really like him too. Good Pick Deanna.
I watched the movie “Once” last weekend, so now I am addicted to the songs from the movie. I have them on my playlist on my blog. Glen Hansard wrote them and sang them with a Czech girl. I guess he was in a band called The Frames (maybe he still is) so now I have to look them up too.

I appreciate the music recommendations and will check them out. Keep ’em coming!

I’m a country girl. I’ve really been into Keith Urban for the past few months. When I sit down at night to work on college or work on my book, I’ll put in one of his CDs. Very relaxing and inspiring for me. Something about the tone in his voice.
