Okay, so I don’t actually have any crumpets. However, a nice cup (or four) of Darjeeling tea while watching Downton Abbey is a rather nice way to spend a Friday afternoon, don’t you agree?

I do agree.
Personally I wouldn't want the crumpets though. I like muffins, but the way crumpets are cooked gives them a strange taste I don't much care for.

I had iced tea and watched the 2010 version of Upstairs, Downstairs. Very good but I wish they had made more.

Tori: I've only had Trader Joe's crumpets and liked them well enough. We don't have that store in Oklahoma, though, and I've never seen them anywhere else. I do, however, LOVE English muffins. I wonder if you have something similar there.
Lisa: I've seen a couple of episodes of the original series years ago. I'll have to check out the 2010 version.

Crumpets are everywhere here!
Yeah, we have English muffins… They're very tasty! We also have teacakes, which taste very nice toasted with butter on them!

I have a very dear British friend who has tried to describe tea cakes to me. They sound delicious.
