The *Alaska clip* from Couric’s interview with Palin is making the rounds. Whether you like Palin on not I think you’d have to agree that this version is hilarious:
Sorry, I fail to see the humor. It amazes me how democrats are so quick to make republicans appear juvenile when they are the ones engaging in juvenile behavior.
It also saddens me to see women jump on the bandwagon to demonize Gov. Palin. Although I never cared for Hillary, I never went out of my way to encourage others to diss her. I’m sorry to see women take up the sport of hurting other women. Regardless of your politics, I think it hurts us all.
Donna, I happen to be registered Republican. This isn’t a case of a Democrat making “republicans appear juvenile”. The clip from the interview is all over the internet and even people who like her have to admit it was painful to watch. When I saw this version I simply found it quite funny. Just like I thought the Saturday Night Live skit was hilarious. And it was pretty balanced in poking fun at both sides. When humor is well done I can appreciate it even if it is directed at *my* side. Rest assured that if I were to find something just as humorous directed toward Obama or Biden, I wouldn’t hesitate to post it here.
I’m not *jumping on a bandwagon* regarding Gov. Palin. I have serious concerns about her in several areas. But I also have serious concerns about the Obama/Biden ticket. Unless something drastic changes I don’t think I can vote for either side in good conscience.
I would love to see a woman in the White House someday. I just want it to be a really impressive candidate. In my opinion, neither Hillary nor Palin fill the bill. And fwiw, I don’t think Obama did a whole lot better with his pick for running mate. There simply have to be better prospects out there…on both sides.
I looked at your link Dan, that’s not funny, it’s sad. And he is supposed to be a better pick than Gov. Palin?
What is most interesting to me is that liberals need to doctor videos they send around about Gov. Palin, but Biden managed to look foolish all on his own.
Well, the video clip I had been seeing all over about Palin wasn’t doctored. You can watch the entire interview online. I happened to find the version I used on YouTube and thought it was funny. I have no idea who made that version…it could be some highschool kid for all I know. I have seen the *undoctored* version all over the place and it is almost painful to watch. I just happen to think this one is funny.
As we all know, teh internets are serious business and we must all get our panties in a bind when we see something on them that we don’t like or else people just really won’t think we care about ANYTHING anymore.
Jaci- Yes! That is exactly what I was thinking when I posted it. The real clip was already all over the internet…there was no point in posting that version here. I have no dog in this race and this isn’t a political blog. I just saw something hilarious and posted it.
Caleb- You mean…(gasp)…by posting that clip I may have lost all credibility with my extensive readership? Will they now have to get their serious political news elsewhere? Oh. Wait. I don’t have an extensive readership and this blog never has been a source of serious political news. Whew!
I don’t like Palin so am I a liberal? Other than my environmentalist views I think I would be in big trouble if I went to a democrat meeting of any kind.
I don’t think my rants about how we need to get rid of most people in government and give the rights back to the states.
But I don’t like Palin and that seems to somehow mean I’m liberal….
Oh and mind you it was fine to doctor videos and make fun of Hilary.. umm.. hypocritical much.
Lisa, since I am the only one posting dissenting views, I fear you must be referring to me in your post. But I never said not liking Palin made someone a liberal. I just feel as women, we shouldn’t come down so hard or jump into the games being played against women.
And I never posted about or recommended others to abuse Hillary. So I don’t know if you referring to me on that one either, but it doesn’t apply to me. I never cared for Hillary’s politics, although I certainly would have preferred her over Obama. But I never took joy in tearing her down either.

Palin almost makes me want to vote for Obama….

This has nothing to do with you Donna. It has to do with people I know. Not this post. More than anything I’m talking about the media.
