Easy Cherry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 scant cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 21 ounce can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Melt butter in baking dish in oven.

  3. In large mixing bowl combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, milk and almond extract; whisk together.

  4. Pour batter over melted butter but don't stir.

  5. Pour cherry pie filling over batter; don't stir.

  6. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

  7. Let stand 5 minutes and serve in bowls with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional).
