This is the second time I’ve done a two-week Aldi grocery haul and I think this is going to work well. Each Friday I go to a local coffee shop to write and then run errands afterwards. Every other week I’ll be doing a two-week shop at Aldi. There may still be an occasional item I need to pick up elsewhere. For instance, I like to buy roasts from a local butcher and sometimes there’s an item or two that Aldi didn’t have.
Lisa and I still like to do big shopping trips to the city to hit up Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s but those trips have become a bit less frequent due to our schedules and because we can get more of what we need locally these days.
Did you see this week’s Menu Monday post this morning? I’m doing 1940s style meals this week which should be fun. Then next week I’ll probably do more of a pantry/freezer challenge and use up some of what we have on hand.

That’s a great haul. Also, great you get to go off somewhere like that to write.

I’m really enjoy that time each week. Kind of breaks things up a bit.
