We are finding it easier to get a delivery time during the week so this order was from this past Thursday rather than Saturday. It was a fairly small grocery haul for a couple of reasons. First, I’m trying really hard to use what we have and not waste anything. Second, I had more fresh produce on my list but bananas, asparagus and zucchini weren’t available. I must say, the hardest part about this is not having access to as much fresh produce as usual. I’ve got my fingers crossed that we’ll have a farmers market this summer!

Here is our menu for the week:
I have not yet tried Aldi delivery but I did do Sprouts Instacart way before this shelter at home situation.
Do y’all just pay the delivery charge each order or did you get the yearly delivery fee?
Your produce looks good!
We’ve just been paying the delivery charge plus tip each order. If I lived in town I might be tempted to to pay the annual fee and continue getting at least some things delivered after things die down. But since my daughter is graciously putting in our orders for delivery to her house, we’ll stop as soon as it’s safe. I wish we had Sprouts here!
You would like Sprouts. Their produce is so nice and so many varieties.
My daughter and I go to Sprouts in Norman and OKC when we grocery shop up there. Love the produce!
We’re not doing grocery delivery; we’re going into the stores to get what we need, but we are limiting our visits. I make up my meal plans with what we have in the house. Of course, we do run out of fresh produce and almond milk, so that’s what makes up the bulk of our shopping. We only had a hard time finding certain produce items in the beginning. Now, everything is readily available again here. (Northeastern IL)
I’m in three high risk categories so I can’t do my own shopping. I sure am ready to pick out my own produce, though! But I’m trying to be very grateful that I’m able to stay home and that my daughter is helping us with grocery delivery. I’m very blessed.
I’m incredibly glad I can do the deliveries from the local fruit and veg shop. I don’t know until my box shows up on Wednesday exactly what I’ll have for the week, but I know I’ll have plenty of fresh produce for the week. Makes me glad we moved here a few years back, since that’s not an option in more rural areas.
Years ago we had something like that. It came in on a big truck and it was delivered to a local church for pickup. I loved being able to get all that fresh organic produce. But I guess there weren’t enough people on the route so they dropped it.
That’s a shame.
