I have this thing about leaving the house clean when we go on vacation. Part of it is wanting to have a nice, clean house to come home to but part of it is this idea that if our plane were to crash I wouldn’t want my kids or parents or anyone else to think I was a slob. I mean, the house generally looks clean and tidy most of the time but I have my share of hidden messes. For instance, my linen closet hasn’t been properly cleaned out for several years. And then there is a little matter of what to do about *private* items — things one really doesn’t want other people to see. (note to self: destroy certain video tape)
So I have just been cleaning the master bathroom and trying to decide if I should take the time to clean out all the junk under the sink. Where does it all come from? And why do we have a package of batteries under there with the cleaning supplies? No, it isn’t what you’re thinking — our *back massager* stays plugged in under the bed. I have all the laundry done already so maybe I do have time for this little project. David won’t be home until sometime tomorrow so I can work late tonight. Okay, I’ve talked myself into it. Wouldn’t want our plane to go down with my last thought being “I KNEW I should have cleaned out that cabinet!”
