I’m now humming the theme song from “The O.C.” after typing this blog post title.
I don’t know how we pulled it off but David and I managed to miss winter’s final (I hope) hurrah here in Oklahoma last weekend. While we were enjoying 70+ degree temperatures in Southern California, our fellow-Oklahomans were dealing with varying amounts of snow. As my dear, departed Aunt Hazel used to say, “we must be living right”.
It was a 5 day whirlwind trip but definitely worth it. David had recently reconnected with an old friend via Facebook. They had not seen one another in 30 years but within minutes it was as if no time had passed at all. We also got to meet his lovely wife and three adorable little girls.
and I think if they lived near one another, they might still be.
We had so much fun at Disneyland but I somehow
failed to take very many pictures.
We went on “The Pirates of the Caribbean” (of course),
“The Haunted Mansion”, “Small World”, “Indiana Jones”,
“Splash Mountain”, “Star Tours”, “The Matterhorn”,
and “Soarin’ Over California” which is in the adjacent
theme park, “California Adventure”.
Ron and his family met up with us in the afternoon
and we did a few rides together and
then had dinner and watched the fireworks.
What a fun time we had!
iPhone but here we are at the Dana Point Harbor.
If I weren’t susceptible to seasickness, I’d be awfully tempted
to lobby my pirate for a sailboat and life near the ocean.
A pirate ship on the Mississippi River near New Orleans is
a distinct possibility, however.

Why, thank you, Jaci! Yes, it was fun. Fast and tiring but lots of fun.

Glad you had fun but I'm still jealous. 🙂
