Cheesy Garlic and Brown Sugar Pork Chops
I adore searching for and pinning recipes on Pinterest. And occasionally I even try them. Last night I gave one a whirl and it was definitely a keeper. You can click on the link under the photo for the original recipe. I followed it pretty closely but did simplify the method a bit.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 cup shredded colby-jack cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- preheat oven to 350 degrees
- season pork chops with salt and pepper (both sides)
- mix garlic, brown sugar and paprika together then coat both sides of the pork chops with this mixture
- pour a tiny bit of the melted butter into a square baking dish and spread to coat
- place pork chops in baking dish and drizzle with remaining melted butter
- bake 20-30 minutes until just done
- remove from oven, sprinkle with cheese, bake another 5 minutes until cheese is melted
I served these with buttered orzo, peas and salad. Absolutely delicious! There was quite a bit of yummy sauce in the pan which would be really good over mashed potatoes. I think that’s what I will make to go with them next time.
