David and I are getting ready to head to church for the Ash Wednesday service in just a bit so this will be short. I’m giving up chips and French fries for Lent this year but as usual there are more important things I’ll be doing, pondering and focusing on during this Lenten season. They are too personal to share here or at least too complicated to explain in the couple of minutes I have for this post. I may share more as the season progresses, though.

I've never participated in Lent, per se, but know others who do…We're especially anxious for Easter this year as we'll be having our first church service in our new "forever" building.
That is exciting! We were fortunate enough to attend the first Easter service post-Katrina at a New Orleans church. It was their first Sunday back in the sanctuary after the flooding. What a special time that was.
