I adore library book sales. Much of my rather extensive library is a result of these sales. Last night I scored the following:
–Silent Spring by Rachel Carson (like new, 40th anniversary edition)
–The Prodigal by Beverly Lewis (Lisa reads this series so I picked it up for her; turns out she already has it so I’ll donate it back to the library)
–Selected French Short Stories (for my plans to brush up on my French)
–The Sisters…the Saga of the Mitford Family by Mary S. Lovell
–The Joy of Words and Words for All Seasons (2 vol.)
–Back to the Basics (part of the “My Folks” series; personal stories of living in *olden times*; I have several of these)
–The Hemingway Reader by Earnest Hemingway (contains a number of his short stories plus excerpts from his novels)
–Cooking for Mr. Latte…A Food Lover’s Courtship with Recipes by Amanda Hesser

There is nothing like a good used book haul. I’m currently into the Mitford Sisters too. Haven’t read that book but am working on Love in A Cold Climate and picture books by the now Dowager Dutchess of Devonshire.

Oops – that comment was from me. Didn’t realize my son was signed in.
