For our LWD April Book Club selection I thought we’d change things up a bit. How about a non-fiction book this time around? I’m feeling the need to shake things up in my own life and maybe you’re experiencing the same urge. Let’s see what we can learn from The Art of Non-Conformity: Set Your Own Rules, Live the Life You Want and Change the World.

The Art of Non-Conformity:
Set Your Own Rules, Live the Life You Want,
and Change the World
by Chris Guillebeau
If you’ve ever thought, “There must be more to life than this,” The Art of Non-Conformity is for you.
Based on Chris Guillebeau’s popular online manifesto “A Brief Guide to World Domination,” The Art of Non-Conformity defies common assumptions about life and work while arming you with the tools to live differently. You’ll discover how to live on your own terms by exploring creative self-employment, radical goal-setting, contrarian travel, and embracing life as a constant adventure.
Inspired and guided by Chris’s own story and those of others who have pursued unconventional lives, you can devise your own plan for world domination-and make the world a better place at the same time.

WHAT ARE YOU READING LATELY?
Other LWD Book Club Selections:
What’s better than curling up with a good book and a delicious cup of tea? And when the tea is named “Reading Nook“? Perfection.

Interesting choice. I hope it helps you with what you’re trying to achieve with changing things in your life.
I’m still working my way through The Artists’ Way with the group, plus reading the books for a cosy mystery that contains scrapbooking tips. Going to have to put the latter on hold to read the ARC of a sci-fi book called “The Insurgent” I just got though (not that I mind, because it’s one I’ve been dying to read) as well as the new book for the crafting book club. But I’ll be returning to the series for sure.

Are you enjoying The Artists’ Way? I think it’s the sort of book worth revisiting now and then.

I haven’t heard of this book and of course, I’m intrigued by the title! I’ll have to look it up on Amazon. Maybe my library will have it.
I’m right near the end of Richard Powers’ latest book, Bewilderment. It is powerful, intimate and heart wrenching.

I’ll take a look at it. Thanks for the recommendation.
