We are beginning to get some chilly days and as far as I’m concerned there is no better way to spend a dreary day than snuggled up with a cup of something hot and a good book. I especially love a good read that takes me to another time and place. The Victory Garden sounds like the perfect way to escape for an hour or so on a chilly afternoon.

Strong women, wartime, England and a garden? This sounds like a book written especially for me. I can’t wait to dive in and I hope some of you will decided to enjoy it along with me.

As the Great War continues to take its toll, headstrong twenty-one-year-old Emily Bryce is determined to contribute to the war effort. She is convinced by a cheeky and handsome Australian pilot that she can do more, and it is not long before she falls in love with him and accepts his proposal of marriage.

Looks like a great read. Won’t be reading it this month for sure, but definitely adding this one to my to-read list.
I’m currently finishing up a couple of other books but I’m really looking forward to this one.
