Monday:
David has a board meeting for the fire department at 6 tonight. It’s likely to be a lengthy one so we are going to *try* to eat before the meeting if he can get home from work in time.
- baked ham with fresh peach glaze
- baked potatoes
- peas
- salad
Tuesday:
We are planning to go to Trivia Night at 8 p.m. so I’d like to have a meal that will be light on cleanup.
- Chile Rellanos Casserole
- Mexican rice
- salad
Wednesday:
I have lunch plans with a friend and we have a history of VERY long lunches. Another easy prep dinner is in order.
- Hawaiian Ham and Cheese (an adaptation using the leftover ham from Monday)
- fresh pineapple
- salad
Thursday:
I sound like a broken record but we need another easy dinner. David and I both have meetings. I think a crockpot meal sounds like a good idea so everyone can eat when it suits them.
- Easy Crockpot Italian Chicken (I make my own Italian dressing from an organic mix)
- pasta
- salad
Friday:
Dinner out with friends then to a local wine and dessert bar for live music.
Saturday:
I hope to find some nice local produce and make a meal of it. Summer is too short, in my opinion, so I want to make the most of it.
- corn on the cob
- fresh green beans
- squash casserole
- fresh peaches
Sunday:
I guess I need to stop trying to plan this day. If the kids want to come over I’ll come up with a plan. Otherwise, David and I eat out after church and save half our meals for dinner.

Sounds good! Do you make your own sweet and sour sauce?
Victoria Zigler says
I do sometimes, but didn't last week; I cheated this time and brought a jar of it.
Deanna says
We used to get a really good sweet and sour sauce when I was growing up in California but it isn't available here.
