This is the last full week before Christmas and we have several things going on this week. We’ll keep the menu simple and there will be more meals out than usual.
DEE’S MENU
Monday:
We are attending the city council meeting at 5:45 and David offered to take me out to dinner afterwards. Sounds good to me!
Tuesday:
We have another meeting but I don’t want to eat out two nights in a row. I’ll just keep it simple.
- ham steak
- boiled Yukon Gold potatoes
- peas
- salad
Wednesday:
I have a meeting in the city and will be going straight to church for our Advent service and choir rehearsal. David will meet me there and then go play cornhole. We’ll each just grab a bite on our own at some point.
Thursday:
We are going to see “It’s a Wonderful Life” at a local theater at 7 p.m. We’ll eat at home first.
- ham and corn chowder (from leftover ham steak)
- salad
Friday:
- Chicken in French Mustard Cream Sauce
- baked potatoes
- green beans
- salad
Saturday:
We didn’t end up taking Shiloh to Sonic last week so we’ll try again this night and then go see the Christmas lights at the park.
Sunday:
We’ll probably eat Mexican food after church and just a little snack for dinner.
How are your holiday preparations coming along? I mailed most of my Christmas cards last week – still have a handful to finish. I’ve got most of my shopping done – just need some stocking stuffers. The tree is up and about 2/3 decorated. I hope to finish that today. I’m going to try to have all the “have-to’s” done by Thursday afternoon and then hopefully be able to spend Friday baking and watching cheesy, romantic Christmas movies.

I’m super late on here, because I’ve not been online much through the week. Anyway, I hope your week is going to plan, and you finished up the last of the arrangements, so you can focus on relaxing and enjoying the holidays. I’ve got a few last minut things to do, but I’m as done as I can be at this point. Even done my holiday baking (most of which can be seen on my blog and Facebook already).

I need to go check out your holiday baking. I haven’t done any yet. I’m behind but it’s still doable. David took yesterday and today off work and somehow I never get as much done when he’s home – ha! I’ve saved all my errands and final grocery shopping for today and plan to wrap gifts tomorrow. I think I’ll bake Sunday afternoon so I can distribute a few things on Monday. We did go see “It’s a Wonderful Life” last night so I’m at least getting in some of my favorite holiday traditions. Merry Christmas and thank you for your friendship and for always commenting here on my blog. I truly appreciate it.
