I don’t have any traditional new year dinner menus. When I was growing up we always had a chicken dinner that was identical to our Christmas day turkey dinner, except for the chicken in place of the turkey, of course. Now I don’t eat meat though, and do something different each year, depending on what I feel like. This year I’m making a spinach and vegetable quiche.
I don’t have a proper menu this week. I know I’m doing the quiche for Friday’s dinner, and there will be leftovers for Saturday for sure, and possibly also Sunday. Other than that… *shrugs*

My family never had a traditional New Year dinner, either. A few years ago we spent a few days around New Year’s with friends in New Orleans and this is basically what they do. We enjoyed it and I’ve done it a few times since. The nice thing is that it provides good leftovers for a couple of days. 🙂

Leftovers are always good… Especially when you have them to fall back on after a busy few days, so can take advantage of the oppertunity to relax while still eating tasty homemade food!

Indeed!
