This month I’ll be planning meals around what we have stuffed in our pantry and freezer. I don’t think I could get one more thing in our deep freeze so it’s time to start eating from its contents! I only plan to purchase fresh dairy and produce this month and otherwise challenge myself to make meals from what is already on hand. It’s also a good way to save a bit of money after the holidays.
Monday:
- red beans and rice
- cornbread
- sliced apples
Tuesday:
A former business associate of David’s is in town and we are going out to dinner with him.
Wednesday:
- lasagna
- garlic bread
- green beans
Thursday:
- crab, corn, potato chowder
- biscuits
Friday:
- smothered pork chops over rice
- candied carrots
- smothered cabbage
- leftover biscuits
