Ever have one of those weeks when you have someplace to go almost every night? Well, that’s our situation this week. I sat down to jot out a menu yesterday and realized I’ll be doing very little cooking this week. Oh, well. Some weeks are like that.
Dee’s Menu
Monday
We are going to my daughter and son-in-law’s house this evening to celebrate her birthday and play games. I’m going to bake brownies (she likes brownies better than cake) and we’ll order pizza.
Tuesday
We’ve been invited to a cookout and then to watch fireworks.
Wednesday
I’m going to invite my parents over for dinner. My dad is having some issues with his teeth so I think a big pot of soup made from veggies fresh from the farmers market will be good.
- homemade vegetable soup
- homemade bread
- homemade ice cream (hopefully with peaches from the farmers market)
Thursday
Tonight is East End Eats, a local music and food truck event we help put on once a month. We’ll eat yummy tacos from one of the food trucks.
Friday
There is a benefit tonight and we set up the music for it. There will be food at the event so we will eat there.
Saturday
We’ve been invited to a luau so that’s likely where we will eat dinner.
Sunday
I don’t generally cook on Sundays but considering the fact we’ve only eaten at home once this week I think I’ll make an exception.
- roast
- carrots, onions, potatoes (cooked along with the roast)
- salad
- homemade bread (if we have any leftover!)
Hopefully next week will be less hectic and I’ll have an honest-to-goodness menu for you – ha!

Dee I tried to save your Meal plan to Pinterest but your site won’t let me 🙁

Thank you, Amber. I’ve been having issues with that for awhile. The last time it happened the folks at Pinterest had no idea and then it started working again. I’ve got to set aside some time to try to figure out what the problem is.

I’m tired just reading about your week! I don’t know how you do this so often!
Hey, guess what? I actually have something resembling a menu this week. Amazing, isn’t it? Haha! Well, here it is.:
Monday: Chips (as in fries) with sweet and sour sauce.
Tuesday: Cheese and onion crisp bakes and crispy potatoes with peas and sweetcorn.
Wednesday: Vegetarian spaghetti bolagnese with fresh bread.
Thursday: Leftovers from Wednesday.
Friday: Veggie burgers with sweet potato fries.
I haven’t figured out Saturday and Sunday yet, but I’ve managed to get further than I usually do. 😉

I’m tired, too! In fact, after not getting to sleep until 1:30 a.m. I decided to put off having my folks over for dinner tonight. We need one night “off”!
Your menu looks yummy. Have a great rest-of-the-week.
