The past couple of weeks have been a little chaotic but it’s time to at least start getting back into a routine. That starts with a menu, right? We will be out of town for meals three nights this week but that still leaves four nights for me to cook.
Dee’s Menu
Monday
Today is David’s birthday so I’m whisking him away to our favorite hotel in Oklahoma City overnight. We’ll eat dinner up there somewhere.
Tuesday
We are going to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie and eat somewhere before we come home.
Wednesday
My parents are coming over for a barbecue.
- grilled cheeseburgers
- homemade potato salad
- corn on the cob
- chips
- fresh fruit salad
Thursday
We have a late afternoon meeting but since we’ve already eaten out twice this week we’ll plan to come home afterwards for dinner. This is a perfect occasion for a slow cooker meal.
- Swiss Steak (I’ll do it in the slow cooker rather than oven.)
- rice
- salad
- green beans
Friday
- vegetarian spaghetti
- salad
- French bread
Saturday
We have done a band booking for a car dealership in Tulsa this day. They are interested in having us book something for them 2-3 times a month through the summer. Since this is the first one we want to be there to make sure everything goes well. We’ll eat dinner in Tulsa before heading home.
Sunday
- grilled cheese sandwiches
- salad
- fresh fruit

It’s stupid since I rarely have a menu figured out myself, but I actually missed these posts while you were away.
Hope David had a great birthday!
Yesterday (Monday) I had corn on the cob and potato wedges with garlic mayo dip. Today I’m making cheesy mashed potatoes with carrots and peas. We have to take Lilie to the vet for the rest of her puppy shots tomorrow (Wednesday) so I’ll make extra tonight so I just have to heat up the leftovers tomorrow. I haven’t figured out the rest of the week yet.

Corn on the cob and potato wedges sound delicious! I saw that you have a new puppy on Facebook. I’m so behind reading blogs but I’m planning to catch up on yours today or tomorrow so I can find out all about Lilie. 🙂
