Monday:
I’ve got a busy day ahead of me. There’s a chance I may be going somewhere this afternoon for a few hours (business-related) but even if I don’t, I simply MUST clean this house! In either case, an easy meal will be in order.
- gumbo (I’ll prep the veggies while cleaning the kitchen this morning.)
- French bread
Tuesday:
David will be out of town, I have an afternoon doctor appointment and then will be driving about 45 minutes away for my nephew’s 8th grade graduation. I’m not sure how much time I’ll have between so I’ll either grab something in town or heat up some leftovers at home.
Wednesday:
I’m not sure when David will be back. We’ve got a show at 6 p.m. and I have choir rehearsal at 6:45. At this point I’m not entirely certain how we will handle dinner.
Thursday:
I have a piano lesson at 4 and we have a show at 7. We will most likely eat dinner there.
Friday:
This night’s show doesn’t start until 9 so we can eat at home first.
- roast (I may do this in the crockpot.)
- baked potatoes
- salad
- asparagus
Saturday:
We have a wedding to attend in the city mid-afternoon and then we are going to take my parents out for a nice steak dinner afterwards.

So, it appears I will only be cooking a couple of times this week. I must say I’m about ready for our schedule to slow down a bit. We are booking four live music shows a week with our new business and have attending almost all of them in order to make sure everything is running smoothly. Soon, however, we will be scaling back. Our musicians are professionals and they are all now used to each venue. Of course, we’ll be adding out-of-town venues, too. Okay, maybe our current crazy schedule is the new “norm”!
