We leave for New Orleans Thursday – yay! So this week’s menu will be short, simple and use up some perishable items I have on hand.
Monday:
We have been invited to watch the Presidential debate tonight at Vintage 22, a local wine and dessert bar. There will be appetizers so we’ll just eat a light dinner before we go.
- fresh, steamed broccoli with grated cheese
- baked potatoes
- salad
Tuesday:
I wasn’t thinking when I bought two dozen eggs on my last shopping trip. I forgot we’d be in New Orleans for 11 days – oops. So I think a frittata is a good idea tonight. I’ll have leftover cooked broccoli from last night to put in it.
- broccoli cheese frittata
- salad
- fresh fruit (I have a fresh pineapple, grapes and strawberries which need to be used)
Wednesday:
There’s a good chance I will be so busy packing that I’ll have David bring home a pizza. Otherwise, I’ll do something simple with rice or pasta.
Thursday:
Dinner in New Orleans!!!
We will be gone until November 5th so there won’t be a menu on the 29th and the one for the week of November 5th won’t be out until the 6th. If you need some menu planning ideas check out:
Also, if anyone has been wanting to guest post here, now would be a GREAT time. If you can get it to me by Wednesday morning I can schedule it to post sometime while I’m in New Orleans.
Everyone have a great week and I’ll think of y’all while we are eating beignets (see picture at top of post) and all the other delicious foods in New Orleans.
