Fall always feels like a new beginning of sorts. In a way, this week feels like the cusp of that annual seasonal shift. An event we’ve been working on for months takes place on Saturday while this week is also the return to church choir rehearsals following our usual summer break.
Dee’s Menu Plan
Monday
- Taco Frito Salad
Tuesday
We have a 4 p.m. meeting next door to a restaurant so we’ll eat there afterwards.
Wednesday
Church choir rehearsal resumes following our usual summer break. I’m really excited for this to start up again. 🙂 I think a crockpot meal is in order to make it easier to get to choir on time.
- roast, potatoes and carrots in crockpot
- salad
Thursday
- BBQ chicken
- hashbrown casserole
- green beans
- salad
Friday
I’ll use leftover roast beef for the stroganoff.
- beef stroganoff over noodles
- peas
- salad
Saturday
This is the day our city will be hosting Ada Fest, an all-day event which we’ve been helping to plan for months. There will be several food trucks so we’ll grab a bite to eat from one of those.
Sunday
We will no doubt be exhausted after Ada Fest. I have no idea what we will do about meals but I feel safe in saying I won’t be cooking!
What’s on your menu this week?

Sounds like you have another busy week. I hope everything goes well on Saturday.
Oh, and, yes… I noticed you didn’t actually mention Mexican food for Sunday. See, I’m paying attention. 😉
Anyway, here’s my tentative menu for this week:
Monday: Mac and cheese.
Tuesday: Pizza sub.
Wednesday: Nut cutlet with mashed potato and baked beans.
Thursday: Sweet & sour noodles.
Friday: Roast veggies.
Saturday: There will be leftovers from Friday, so I’ll have those for dinner Saturday.
Sunday: Baked potato, carrot & swede mash, and peas.
I thought of you when I skipped the Mexican food on Sunday. 😉
LOL!
