We are going to New Orleans on Thursday and David will be out of town Tuesday and Wednesday. Rather than making a menu, I’ll be cleaning out the refrigerator and using up all the perishables before we leave. I have two heads of cabbage, a couple of bell peppers, green onions and carrots so I think I’ll cook up a nice stir fry tonight. I’ll also be juicing the oranges and doing something with part of the 20# of apples I bought a couple of weeks ago. Since we are driving to New Orleans this time, I will also take some of those apples with us. Since we stay in a condo with a kitchen, we always make a stop at Whole Foods when we first arrive and stock up on breakfast and lunch items. We try to just eat out for dinner most days.
I’m going to try to line up some guest posts before we leave and schedule them to post during our time away. And if I can get the mobile blogging thing to start working again on my iPhone, I’ll no doubt be taking some photos of our awesome meals in New Orleans and will share them here.
