November already?! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and I’ll be sharing some helpful information later this week. But for now let’s take a look at this week’s menu plan.

Dee’s Menu Plan
Monday
Happy Halloween! We already celebrated Saturday night at a costume party and we don’t get any trick-or-treaters out here in the boonies. But I think I’ll make some pumpkin bread for us to enjoy along with a Halloween-themed movie. What are your plans?
- barbecue chicken
- baked potatoes
- salad
- pumpkin bread for dessert
Tuesday
We have a community meeting at 7 p.m. so a simple, early dinner is in order. The weather is still really nice so we’ll grill and maybe eat outdoors, too.
- grilled burgers
- French fries
- fresh fruit salad
Wednesday
David will be out of town on business so I’ll just eat leftovers.
Thursday
We are going to host one final “East End Eats” (music and food truck event) for the year because the weather is still nice. We’ll enjoy tacos from the food truck.
Friday
I think we’ll have dinner out, either as a “date night” or with our adult kids if they are available. There are a couple of music events going on, too. Maybe we’ll catch one of those after dinner.
Saturday
I’m really ready for turkey and I happen to have one in my freezer. Depending on how my week goes I just might do a trial run on Thanksgiving.
Sunday
Mexican food after church and save half for dinner…you know the routine. 🙂

What’s on your menu plan this week? If you are in the U.S. and celebrate Thanksgiving, have you started making your menu plan yet?

We don’t get trick or treaters either. So I’m eating their chocolate. 😉
I haven’t really figured out my menu for this week. Monday (yesterday) I’d planned to be making pumpkin pasties, but I still had leftovers from the pasta with pumpkin sage sauce and cheese I made the day before (as well as extra sauce to put in the freezer for another time) so I ate that instead. We also watched three of the four movies we’d planned to watch for Halloween. Tonight (Tuesday) I’m making the pumpkin pasties I’d planned to do for Monday, and going to watch the movie we didn’t get around to watching yesterday. I haven’t figured out anything beyond that yet though.
I did buy two small bags of candy even though we wouldn’t have trick or treaters. We had overnight company last night and I did give him some. David and I enjoyed pumpkin bread with our evening cups of tea and watched Hocus Pocus. Fun movie. 🙂
Hey, Hocus Pocus was one of my movie picks for this year!
Good choice!
I’ve thought about doing a pre-Thanksgiving dinner too – just to make sure I really like all the recipes I’ve planned! Pumpkin bread is one of my favorite fall treats. I love that you can serve it for breakfast OR dessert. 🙂
Pumpkin bread is perfect for breakfast! In fact, that’s what I’m having right now. 🙂
