Close to 20 years ago I bought four of these handmade stockings at a little shop here in town which isn’t around anymore. You can’t tell from the photo but it’s really big. When Lisa married Justin I took one of these stockings with me to a fabric store and since I couldn’t find anything remotely close to the wool plaid fabric, I bought burgundy velvet to match the trim at the top, plus a coordinating print. I then had a seamstress friend make the stocking. Actually, in a stroke of genius, I had her make two. Now that Chris has a serious girlfriend I am so glad I did because we already have a stocking for her. I just wish I had one for Shiloh.
David and I finally got the lighted garland put up on the banister tonight but I didn’t hang the stockings on it yet. I’ll post a picture tomorrow so you can get the full effect. I also made two YouTube videos a couple of weeks ago which I’ll post here tomorrow, too, so be sure to check back!
