All the rain we’ve had lately, combined with a conversation I was having with a friend, reminded me of how my Mother told me when I was little that the rain is angels crying, and that the reason it happens so much is because they’re so sad about all the cruel people in the world. Having remembered that so recently, my first thought upon seeing this post was, “no wonder it’s been raining so much… The angels must be very sad!”
Very sad, indeed. I simply do not understand violence and cruelty. It makes my heart hurt. But I try to remember that there is also so much good in the world.
