Spam, spam, spam, spam…
Our ISP spam blocker does a pretty good job catching spam, although it also picks up quite a few legitimate emails in the process. Once a week I receive an email with a list of what was caught. I can then go to the website, delete the spam, release the stuff I want, and utilize the white and black lists. Even though spam is a huge annoyance and waste of time, I do occasionally get a chuckle out of the subject lines. Here are just a few I noticed today:
Hi, oleo oil (well, hello margarine head!)
Hi, Non-german (yep, that’s me)
Better Life, wedge-tailed eagle (huh?)
Everybody qualify for our degrees (does that include an English degree?)
I also receive an inordinate number of emails regarding enhancement products for a body part I don’t possess. However, the number of stock tips are quickly catching up.
If I am ever made Queen of the World I will handle spammers and people who create computer viruses with a simple, royal decree — Off with their heads!
