THIS WEEK WITH DEE
What I wouldn’t give to have a coffee shop/bookstore exactly like this nearby? Sigh…
I just made myself a cup of hot tea. Go get yourself something cozy to sip and we’ll get started.

IN MY HOME:
REVIEW OF LAST WEEK
We hosted a fundraiser Saturday and it was successful way beyond our expectations. The weather was perfect (sunny with highs in the low 70s), the turnout was great and people were extremely generous. We not only met our goal for the local musician we were raising money for but also have a nice fund ready for the next need.
I must say that this event restored some of my faith in humanity. And that was certainly needed.
THIS WEEK
My focus around the house this week is simply to catch up on the things I let slide last week. It’s not bad but each room could use a bit of loving attention.
WORK
My big job for the week is to write thank you notes on behalf of our foundation to all the sponsors of AdaFest (yes, I’m quite late with those!) and those who donated auction items for our fundraiser as well as provided other services.
I’ve also been asked to do an interview with another blogger so I need to set aside an hour or so to answer the written questions. When the blog post is done I’ll try to remember to share it with y’all.
READING
I finished an audio book last week – 10 Arguments For Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now. I’m also very close to finishing these three books:
La Bella Figura: How to Live, Love and Eat the Italian Way by Kristi Belle
The Housewife is a Writer by Kate Singh
West With Giraffes by Lynda Rutledge
SELF CARE
Still working on that sleep thing…
HEALTH & FITNESS
My son, Chris, suggested last night that we hold one another accountable to drinking at least 6 glasses of water a day this week.
FUN ACTIVITIES
Our local Shakespeare in the Park group is putting on “Antigone” this week, Thursday through Sunday. David is providing the sound system. We don’t know yet if he will have to run it each of those nights or if there will be someone else available (hopefully!). But we will certainly go watch one of the nights.
HABIT OF THE WEEK
My morning routine is all out of whack so I’m trying to rein that in and be consistent with it.

What’s on your plan for the week ahead? Home tasks? Menu? Fun? What are you reading?
Did you know I have a Facebook group where we can encourage one another in the areas of productivity, routines, time management and self-development? I haven’t done a group challenge in awhile but I’d like to start one soon. I’d love to have you join us:

I’m a big advocate for daily routines and am, in fact, revamping mine for fall/winter. If you could use a bit of help in this area there is a free webinar this evening called: 3 Essential Daily Routines for Getting More Done in Less Time. It’s at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST). I’m signed up and hope some of you will join me.
This is my affiliate link. There is no charge for the webinar however you do have the opportunity to purchase the Ultimate Productivity Bundle today through Wednesday if you missed the earlier sale.

I love getting cash back and I’m sure you do, too! If you aren’t familiar with Rakuten, check out the link below. All you do after signing up is to install the app on your computer. Every time you purchase something there will be a little popup in the corner. Click and it will search for money back options. Every month they mail me a check. It’s not a huge amount but it’s still nice to get a few dollars back on things you were going to purchase anyway. My September check was a little over $6 but August’s was almost $30.
Join for free and get $30 when you spend $30.

Glad the event went so well. Good idea on holding each other accountable with the water.
Sorry I’m so late in here. It was one of those weeks. *sigh*

I’d love to say that the water thing is working but that would be a lie. Ha!
