While we are still vacillating between warm days and cool nights here in Oklahoma, it is finally starting to feel a bit like autumn. This is one of my favorite times of the year, but it’s also bittersweet knowing that the blight of winter is right around the corner. I’m not a fan of the cold. However, I AM a big fan of music that conveys the feeling of transition between autumnal bliss and the bleakness of winter.

My good friend Aaron challenged me to come up with a fifty song playlist that represents this transitional time. This isn’t the most upbeat playlist I have ever shared here, but it’s not all doom and gloom. Note that a few of these tracks have appeared on other Timely Tunes mixes, but hopefully they resonate differently within this context. As always, it’s best to listen to this in order, as I have taken a lot of time to create a good flow throughout the playlist.
