My new favorite cook:
My grandmother is 95 and ever since I was a little girl I’ve been fascinated with her stories of growing up in Oklahoma during the Depression. Watching Clara cook reminds me a lot of my own grandmother’s cooking although with a decidedly Southern bent. For instance, my grandmother says she doesn’t remember her mother ever baking a regular loaf of bread but they had biscuits daily and cornbread very often.
Let’s hope our current economic situation doesn’t get that bad because I sincerely doubt this nation of spoiled people would handle it very well.
Awwww…she’s cute as a button! ; )
As long as we can purchase yeast inexpensively, we can have bread. but remember: the Israelites ate unleavened bread for a reason…
Aside from that, she *is* cute as a button!
