These weeks just keep rolling on by quickly, don’t they? I’m not even entirely certain what I did all week, but it seemed to take up every moment. I did have one kind of big thing this week. I mean, it doesn’t sound like a big deal unless you know how I feel about public speaking.
I was asked to speak at our city’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Friday. A little over a year ago I began a Facebook group which serves as a centralized source of information about local events, meetings, fundraisers, etc. As of Friday morning the group had 2274 members. After the luncheon, where I was able to explain what the group is all about to the approximately 100 people in attendance, our numbers shot up to our current 2345.
I was nervous about having to speak in front of so many people but it actually went quite well. I have a feeling I’m being called out of my comfort zone this year. I hope I survive!

I hope you’ve had a lovely Saturday and if you live in one of the areas hit by the snowstorm I hope all is well and your electricity stays on. It’s in the 30s here but no snow (thank goodness!). And better yet, I see some highs in the 60s next week. Yes!
Well done for stepping out of your comfort zone to do that talk. It sounds like it was very successful… Especially if you go by the increase in people joining the online group.

Oh, and I don’t have snow here, but know someone affected by the bad snowstorm your side of the big pond. I wish I had snow. Well, maybe not as much of it as some parts have, but some. So, if anyone who’s got some wants to send me some, I’ll be happy to accept it! 🙂
