Am I the only one who hasn’t put up their Christmas tree yet? I did put out our Nativity set on the entry table and put the lacy/Christmas-y tablecloths on the family room tables. I also put away the display of pirate stuff on our buffet (don’t worry David…I’ll put it back right after Christmas!) and put the Christmas runner on it. Oh, and I have the candy dish filled with holiday candies. But that’s it so far. Hopefully we’ll get the tree up tomorrow.
I also don’t have my Christmas newsletter finished yet. That really does need to get done this weekend so I can have David print them at work on Monday.
I do have all my Christmas shopping done and most has already been delivered.
So, how are the rest of you doing on the whole Christmas prep stuff? Please tell me at least one of my readers doesn’t have their tree yet. Even if you have to lie to me.

well I don’t intend to lie about having a tree up BUT I am afraid I don’t put one up. If I had grandbabies that would ooooo and aaaa over it I would but it is just mom and myself and mom is blind so the beauty would be wasted on her. and I feel guilty enjoying something and she can’t. So NO I don’t have a tree up.

I have my tree up, but I would gladly trade it for just one single Christmas present bought…which I don’t have!! Tiffany

Wwe don’t have a tree yet. We usually wait until 2 weeks before Christmas because we get a real one.
The kids were sick all week.
I bought new stockings and we haven’t even put our names on them yet, wanted to do that last weekend…

Louise, do you enjoy listening to Christmas music with your mom? Or baking goodies to share with her? Christmas appeals to all the senses, not just sight. May you and your mom experience a blessed Christmas together.
Tiffany, I have one word for you. Amazon. A couple of hours at the computer and the nice UPS man will bring you all your presents in just a few days. 🙂
Stephanie, I do hope everyone is on the road to recovery. Being sick is the pits, especially during the holidays.

Mom and I have different tastes in Christmas music.. I like it ALL, new and old.. she only likes the Old and not all of that…And I’m not doing any baking..I can’t eat it myself and my sister will bring her baking.
I went ahead last night and put out all my penguins in the basement… I had way more than I thought and still have some out in the truck where I hang a couple so it is feeling a little more Christmasy, I guess. Now If my kids would only speak to me ( I still don’t know why they aren’t) I’d be happy.
Hope you and your family have a Joyful New Year!!
