One Vast Garden
by Sri Ananandamayi Ma
“I find one vast garden spread out all over the universe.
All plants, all human beings, all higher mind bodies
are about in this garden in various ways ,
each has his own uniqueness and beauty.
Their presence and variety give me great delight.
Every one of you adds with his special feature to the glory of the garden.”
And now for a few photos from Apple Tree Farm:
I planted potatoes in those buckets today.
David staining the log siding he’s been putting up.
The blue siding is being replaced with logs
and the white lattice will be replaced with black iron railings.
Pretty dogwood tree
The first irises to bloom this year
It’s going to look so much better when the siding is replaced.

Blurry but oh, so cute!

Catching up with you. Love the poems (I love poetry). As for your garden: despite the winter you have endured, you are way ahead of temperate PNW as far as spring goes. Not an iris to be seen in this country although a few brave dogwoods are beginning to bloom.
And I love the log siding!!

Thanks, Jaci. It took us years to decided what to do about the old siding and one day I say a little house in town that had just had its siding replaced with log siding and I had one of those "duh!" moments. I think it looks perfect with the stone on the first story and in our wooded setting.
Hope you get some nice spring weather soon, too.
