This doesn’t happen often but I’m having trouble finding a book that really captures my attention. I have a whole list of books I want to read but I’m not really in the mood for any of them. I think I want something kind of light…maybe a bit humorous…set in the South or a small town, perhaps? I don’t know. All I know is I’ve started a couple of books in the past week and they just aren’t doing it for me.
So I’m asking my readers for suggestions. Leave me a suggestion or two in the comments. I’m going to the library tomorrow and I hope to have a list of recommended books with me.
A small fraction of my books – you’d think I’d find something I want to read here.

This was a free kindle book that I downloaded a while ago that fits your criteria…humorous, set in the south (Galveston, Texas) and definitely a light read.
Fools Rush In, by Janice Thompson
or if you want something a little heavier but a good read: Demon, a Memoir, by Tosca Lee

Have two suggestions for you. The first is one I read a couple of years ago: A Parchment of Leaves by Silas House. The second is Slow Way Home by Michael Morris. I haven't read this one yet…picked it up yesterday at a library book sale. Has excellent ratings on amazon. Look both of them up on amazon to see what they're about! Hope one of them captures your attention.

I'll recommend one that falls outside your want. But it's an amazing read that you can at least tuck away for a later date. Sputnik, Sweetheart by Murukami. Beautiful, thoughtful book by an amazing author.

Thanks, everyone! I'm putting a list of these recommendations in my purse so I'll have something to work from each time I go to the library.
