I enjoy creating gift guides, such as the one I did for Tea Lovers. It’s fun to search out items that might appeal to a certain group. While I was working on the Tea Lovers Guide it occurred to me that it might be fun to share what’s on MY wish list this year. I maintain several Amazon Wishlists throughout the year and then pull items from those when I create my Christmas list. I then make it shareable with my family.

Here are some of the items on my 2017 Christmas Wishlist:
Happy Planner
I bought my first Happy Planner two years ago. I’m not 100% consistent using it but I still like it better than any other planner I’ve used. With a new year almost upon us, it’s time for the 2018 Happy Planner!
French Style Easel
Years ago, back when I was homeschooling the kids, I took a few oil painting lessons. My daughter, Lisa (Retro Housewife Goes Green) continued to take lessons and paint for many years. I felt I didn’t have time so I quit. However, I really enjoyed it and have been toying with the idea of taking it up again. If this easel ends up under the tree this year that will be my sign.
Oil Paint Set
Diana Krall – Turn Up The Quiet
I love Diana Krall and this album would be a nice addition to our vinyl record collection.
My Family Table
John Besh is a well-known New Orleans chef and I love the premise of this cookbook.
The French Chef with Julia Child – 10 Disc Collection
Julia Child is one of my heroes. I recall watching her television program when I was a child and even then found her amusing. I would love to set aside some time each week to watch an episode or two.
Tea Cup and Saucer Set
What can I say? I love tea and believe a perfect cup of tea should be served in a proper cup and saucer. These are beautiful.
Anne of Green Gables
I’ve been watching the Netflix version, “Anne With an E” but 2017 has been dark enough without such a sad and gloomy depiction of this beloved story. I need to spend some time with the cozier, less grim version.
Bob Dylan – Trouble No More
I love me some Bob Dylan and I’m eager to get better acquainted with this period in his career.
I Love Lucy
I love Lucy…truly! I have the first five seasons and would love to add this one to my collection.
You Want it Darker by Leonard Cohen
We lost this treasured singer/songwriter/poet a bit over a year ago. I’d love to have this album, his final gift to his fans.
Sex and the City
I didn’t watch this series when it was first aired. I’ve seen a number of episodes since but I’d love to start at the beginning and watch the whole series.
A Fine Romance
The reviews are excellent and it sounds like something right up my alley. I’m thinking this would be the perfect book to read from each afternoon while I have a cup of tea.
The Egg and I
I have this on VHS a number of years ago and loved it. The only thing is, I’m likely to get really serious about raising chickens again. Oh, wait. I already am! Serious, that is.
What’s on YOUR wish list this year?
Tori says
Interesting wishlist you have there.
I don’t have an Amazon wishlist set up. It would mainly consist of books and movies if I did though.

That’s what most gets added throughout the year for me, too. 🙂

I liked seeing your wish list! Now that it’s past Christmas and I’m just now seeing this, I hope Santa delivered an item or two that was on your list. I love Diana Krall – I have a lot of her music on my Spotify playlist. I have Susan Branch’s book, A Fine Romance. Love anything by her! The Egg and I…one of my all-time favorite books. I thought it was better than the movie. Have not heard of Chef John Besh. Will definitely look him up.

I did indeed receive several items from my list, although not any of those you mentioned – ha! My “big” gift from David was the easel and I’m really excited to start painting again. I don’t believe I’ve ever known anyone else who has read “The Egg and I”. I actually saw the movie before I read the book, which I already have. I had the movie on VHS but we no longer have a VHS player. I’ll move the items I didn’t receive to my birthday list – ha! As for John Besh, he’s a New Orleans chef. I think you’ll like him.
