Defining My Mission

I just sent out this week’s Life With Dee newsletter in which I talked about defining this blog’s mission…purpose…niche. I’ve struggled with this for months but I’ve finally got it.

Creating a Beautiful Life

That really sums up my mission, not only for my blog but my own personal life. Cooking delicious meals, making my home a lovely place to be, reading inspiring books, traveling to interesting places, listening to beautiful music…these are some of the major components of my life and therefore, topics I like to talk about on Life With Dee. Taken together, these are part of what it takes for me to “create a beautiful life”.

Now that I’ve got it sorted out you’ll begin seeing this reflected in my posts. The topics will be pretty much the same but I will be approaching them a bit differently. With each post I will be asking myself, “How does this help me create a beautiful life?”.

You will also be seeing this on the Life With Dee Facebook page. I will be working to make the page a place of beauty and inspiration – a little oasis in the midst of what can sometimes be a negative place. If you sometimes tire of what you see in your Facebook feed I hope you’ll come spend a little time with me on the Life With Dee page. I’ll share gorgeous pictures and we’ll talk about books, food, travel, home, music, art, Paris, tea, and how to create a beautiful life for ourselves. Please join the conversation!
