It was COLD in the house when we woke up this morning. Someone, who shall remain nameless (okay, it was me), forgot to turn the heater back on last night. It was 62 degrees in the house. David was up first and turned it back on while I continued to snuggle under the covers, savoring the warmth he left behind. That guy must be part werewolf, a rather attractive quality when the weather turns cold. He even made me a cup of tea and brought it to me in bed. I think I’ll keep him.
So here it is pushing 9 p.m. which is very early for me to even think about going to bed but my hands are freezing and I didn’t have a nap and my cozy bed and heating pad are calling my name. David is downstairs watching a football game but I think I shall slip the heating pad between the sheets, fix myself yet another cup of tea (I have no idea how many I’ve had today), then get in bed and read. Yep, sounds like a good plan.
Today I am thankful for:
- My warm and cozy bed. We have a Sleep Number mattress (highly recommend this!) with extra padding, a thick mattress topper, high thread count sheets in a lovely shade of lavender, a down blanket and a down comforter. Oh, and six pillows.
