Welcome to the first week of February’s LWD Grocery Haul series in which I share our weekly grocery purchases, including prices. I’m always curious to see what others purchase and what food prices are in different countries or regions. I hope you are finding this series interesting and helpful.

This week, in addition to my weekly groceries from Pruett’s and a loaf of bread from the convenience store, I also placed my first Costco order. David signed us up for a membership last week. We live over an hour from the nearest Costco but they ship nonperishable items.
I placed my order late Sunday night because the tariffs were set to take place and I wanted to be sure to get some maple syrup (it’s produced in Canada). The tariffs have been postponed but maple syrup lasts virtually forever so no problem.
Now I just need to make some pancakes soon!

- Kirkland Signature, Chicken Breast (12.5 oz. 6-Count) $16.49
Subtotal: $104.43 (plus tax, free shipping)

Our weekly menu…
I’m writing this Thursday evening. I had planned for us to have leftovers tonight but the pork tenderloin was quite small, as was the cauliflower. In other words, there weren’t enough leftovers for another dinner. I mentioned that fact to David this morning and he suggested Chinese takeout. Great idea, dear. It was delicious. 🙂
He has a new routine in which he cooks a pot roast with potatoes and carrots in the crockpot on Sundays and that gives us lots of leftovers for the next couple of days. If you’ll notice, I’ve put the pot roast meal on Saturday this week. He has a managers meeting in Houston next week and I’ll be going with him. That’s why I moved the roast to Saturday. We’ll finish up the leftovers before we leave. Also, there won’t be a grocery haul or menu posted next week.
