I like to take my holidays one at a time but now that Thanksgiving is past it’s time for me to get into the Christmas spirit. And of course that meant choosing a book with a Christmas theme for the LWD December Book Club selection.

DECEMBER BOOK CLUB SELECTION
I started reading Fiona Ferris’ blog many years ago. When she offered this book for only $2.99 as a Black Friday special, I broke my own rule about not buying anything on that day. I’m looking forward to reading it this week as I begin my annual preparations for Christmas. I hope you enjoy it, as well, if you choose to read it along with me.
A Chic and Simple Christmas
“I wrote ‘A Chic and Simple Christmas’ because I wanted to find out the reason why I simultaneously looked forward to the holiday season so much, but at the same time dreaded it as a time of stress and anxiety. The Christmas of my dreams was a chic and simple affair full of joy and fun things, but the reality wasn’t nearly as much fun. It was stressful!
This book deconstructs just why this was, and details how to create a holiday season that will not only make you happier, but also more enjoyable for your loved ones.
No matter the time of year you are reading ‘A Chic and Simple Christmas’, whether it is the second week in December or the middle of April, it is never too soon to start thinking about your ideal Christmas holiday season. By this I don’t mean start your gift shopping; I mean really work out for yourself what you would like to experience, and start creating and planning for that.
If your holiday season experiences don’t quite match the idyllic vision you have in your mind, I’d love for you to be inspired by ‘A Chic and Simple Christmas’ where I share how to create a holiday season you will love.”
