August is a very busy time for me as we are preparing for AdaFest, our community’s annual music and arts festival. I don’t have a lot of time for housework right now and yet disorder makes me crazy. I’ve found that it’s even more important to maintain a reasonable level of “outer order” if I want anything like “inner calm” during busy seasons.
That’s why I chose Gretchen Rubin’s book, Outer Order, Inner Calm, for our August LWD Book Club selection.

Outer Order, Inner Calm: Declutter and Organize to Make More Room for Happiness
Gretchen Rubin knows firsthand that creating order can make our lives happier, healthier, more productive, and more creative. But for most of us, a rigid, one-size-fits-all solution doesn’t work. When we tailor our approach to suit our own particular challenges and habits, wecan find inner calm.
What’s better than curling up with a good book and a delicious cup of tea? And when the tea is named “Reading Nook“? Perfection.

I’ve been listening to the audio version. If I don’t remember, don’t hesitate to ask me what I thought. My mind is a sieve these days.

This sounds like a great read… Might go look for an accessable to me copy. Hope you enjoy it.

I hope you can find a copy. I’m listening to the audio version which is read by the author. I’m subscribed to a service called Scribd. It’s $8.99 a month and has LOTS of books, many of which are audio versions.
