LWD May Book Club Selections
I made these selections from amongst the (many, many) books in my to-read pile. The first two were purchased at a recent library book sale and should be fun, easy reads. I bought the Crystal Paine book because I’m a fan of her work and hope to glean some ideas for this blog and how to treat blogging as a business.
Savannah Blues by Mary Kay Andrews
I’ve read a couple of Mary Kay Andrews’ books and found them to be enjoyable reads.
Crescent by Diana Abu-Jaber
Food shares the spotlight with romance in this book about an Iraqi-American woman living in Los Angeles.

What are you reading these days? Leave me a comment – I love to talk books. 🙂
I’m currently reading the Ixeos trilogy by Jennings Wright on my Kindle, and re-reading The Shelters Of Stone by Jean M. Auel on audio (since I don’t have any new audiobooks to listen to right now, it’s one of the audiobooks I actually have access to at the moment, and I enjoy listening to the series over and over again anyway).
One of my friends loves Jean M. Auel books. I’ve never read any of them. I should.
I enjoyed “Money Making Mom.” I had no idea there are so many ways to earn money as a young mother. Those days are long in the past for me but I was intrigued by the description of blogging. I have always wanted to try my hand at blogging, not for income purposes but for my own expression. The author helps you dig down into your strengths and skills to brainstorm what type of start up or side hustle would be best. I enjoyed reading through the types of questions to ask yourself, Who am I? and How can I share that person to help others?
